Fred Decup has been living in the UK for the last 4 years. During his leisure time he has enjoyed painting many different sites as he has explored UK towns and the Countryside. Some of his paintings are of famous landmarks, others are local scenes that have caught his eye. Painting watercolours has been his passion for many years with a style that combines colour, tone, and composition.

Fred’s other passions include classic cars, especially the Bugatti, and sailing. His collection of paintings encompass these passions with examples of each found on this website.

For painting, he uses a core group of about eight colors although these will be supplemented depending on mood location and of course light. He usually paints on Arches 300lb paper, cold pressed or rougher texture for a particular effect. When painting, he uses adding brushes as big as possible (filbert) details with a sword liner at the end of the work. His easel is a regular one which he believes is the easiest way to use on the market and from he hangs a simple small bucket that he purchased from a garden center;

All the paintings on this website are for sale. If you have a specific location or subject in mind Fred is happy to take a commission, but please allow a few weeks for the painting to be completed and shipped. His quotation will include the delivery cost and he normally he requires 20% of the total fee when a commission is placed.
